About Bouwstoffen Unie

Bouwstoffen Unie has existed for more than 100 years. On March 1, 1920, Vos Arnhem N.V. was founded by Mr. Albert Vos. In the early years they were engaged in the sand and gravel trade, a shipping company and the Arnhem Port Authority. The activities took place mainly on the Rhine and the IJssel, in a radius of about 100 km around Arnhem.

In the 1980s, the business activities of Vos Arnhem B.V. were transferred to a group of gravel and crushed stone producers in southern Germany.

Subsequently, several mergers and amalgamations took place, including through Devo Holding B.V. On January 1, 2015, Bouwstoffen Unie B.V. was created from a merger between Devo Bouwstoffen and Moräne Nederland B.V. The activities of both companies: international trade in and transport and distribution of a wide range of mineral raw materials for the construction industry, is continued strengthened as producer representation.

Together with our shareholders and our team of employees, Bouwstoffen Unie now supplies both primary and secondary building materials to various markets. We also provide the necessary, especially logistical services to our customers.
