Biocarbon fly ash
Biocoal Fly Ash® is the very fine ash particles released from the combustion of biomass, with or without a portion of coal, in a power plant.
To generate electricity, biomass, with possibly some coal, is mixed and ground into powder, which is burned as completely as possible. The ash particles fly with the flue gases into the flue gas duct. There, the fly ash slowly cools to glass-like globules. The resulting product is a very fine, gray/brownish powder. We call this biocoal fly ash®.
Due to its specific chemical composition and fineness, it has properties that fit well into a concrete mix and its hardening. It is thus a sustainable application of a residual product.
FEATURES
- Biocarbon fly ash® improves the workability of concrete
- Fineness makes the pores in concrete smaller, making it more resistant to moisture penetration
- Biocoal fly ash® is a secondary product from biomass and very high-quality, sustainable filler
- Biocarbon fly ash® meets European standard EN 12620, the European standard for aggregates for concrete
- Biocarbon fly ash® is well suited as a sustainable filler in custom binders
- De korrelgrootte is veelal < 0,063 mm
MARKETS
