Crusher Sand

Crusher sand is mainly used in asphalt mixtures because of its angular grain shape. In addition, crusher sand can be used as road sand under paving and for grouting. Crusher sand is crushed gravel or natural stone from a stone crushing plant. Sand from a rubble crusher can also be called crusher sand.

Crushed sand made of gravel from the Rhine and the Meuse are the most common, because it is well washed. Crushed sand from other sources, such as quarries, may exhibit different properties.

Crusher sand is composed of coarse crushed gravel and chippings.
Crusher sand from quarries is available in different colors and all kinds of nuances gray, red and black.
It is available in bulk, loose fill, in big bags and in bagged / 25kg bags.

The most common grades of crusher sand are: 0/2 mm, 1/3 mm and 0/4 mm.

In road construction, washed crusher sand is used as a raw material for asphalt. Because of its color, it is also used as a grouting sand for grouting/increasing pavement.

Because of its good draining properties, crusher sand can also be used under permeable paving.
