Drainage gravel & filter gravel

Drainage and filter gravel is ideally suited for infiltration and water passage in geotechnical engineering, such as in drilling for geothermal heat and along drill pipes in geotechnical engineering.

This gravel is round, clean and dust-free. Drainage and filter gravel is permanently draining for rapid drainage of clean and dirty water.

Drainage and filter gravel is river gravel from the southern Rhine, also called Upper Rhine. The specifically round grains are characteristic of Upper Rhine gravel.

Gravel is a sedimentary rock. It was deposited in the Rhine River via glaciers from the Alps. The grains have been rounded by water and ice over time.

range

Gravel is available in bulk, loose fill, big bags and 25-kg bags.
Rhine gravel is light-nuanced gray-white-blue in color.

For filter applications, fine grading 2/4 mm is often used.
For drainage, coarse grades such as 8/16 mm and 16/32 mm are used.

MARKETS

Drainage gravel and filter gravel is used in drilling for geothermal heat and infiltration. In combination with filter gravel, it forms a water purification package.
These gravel types are also used in park and landscape design, for ponds, banks, wadis, etc.

specific characteristics

  • Drainage and filter gravel is clean washed and dust free

  • Round gravel can be pumped and blown well.

  • Filter gravel remains draining because of its open of structure
