Flugsand

Flugsand is mainly used for backfilling and raising in areas where subsidence can easily occur. Flugsand consists of porous fine-grained material of volcanic origin.

This product has a low density, high permeability and gives great balance and stability. As a result, it is used unbound in road construction and other construction activities.

Depending on origin, weight and grain size may vary. The most common is 0 - 8 mm.

Flugsand has a variety of applications and can be used in different markets:

• In road construction: for temporary lanes and under roads
• In ditches and canals and pipe trenches
• As a core material in river dikes
• Behind sheet piling
