Lava

Lava is a porous and therefore absorbent and draining material, mined in the Eifel Mountains in Germany, among other places. It gives good hook resistance and specific gravity.

Lava is a lightweight aggregate, is frost-resistant, water retaining and permeable. Lava has many possible applications. It is suitable as a foundation layer in areas prone to settlement, but also for sports fields, for example, where drainage is required. Lava also finds its way as a lightweight aggregate in concrete products and the brick industry. And as filter material in water treatment plants. Lava lumps function as noise reducing material in noise barriers and as decoration in (gabion) baskets.

range

The broken grain size is highly dependent for the application. For example, the small sizes are mainly used as foundation material. The large sizes are mainly used as light fill material.

We can supply many sizes, including 0-16 mm, 1-4 mm, 2-8 mm, 8-16 mm, 4-32 mm, 16-32 mm and 60-120 mm or combinations thereof.
